Software Development Manager, NantHealth - June 2015 - Present

Manager of two teams responsible for development of the company’s flagship product, a medical device integration system. Responsible for hiring of team members, training, providing a business vision, eliciting requirements and writing design specifications for software products. Also responsible for managing sprints and team work during that time.

Software Technical Lead, NantHealth - February 2014 - Present

As a technical lead, I had a responsibility for the training of team members and helping secure excellent results in our delivery domain. This included travel to client sites in Denmark, Singapore, and Columbus, Ohio, as well as participating in 2016 HIMSS. Served as the first line of technical support when client issues could not be solved by client support. Responsible for helping to architect and design new parts of the product.

Software Engineer, NantHealth - June 2013 - Present

Served as member of multiple teams- building, testing, and deploying the flagship medical device integration software. Responsibilities included weekly grooming, development in an agile scrum environment, verification and validation testing of developed code, and deployment of deliverables using a continuous integration environment. Team responsibilities included managing the DevOps environment and providing support to Quality Assurance in testing.

Class Mentor, The Florida State University Panama City, FL — May 2013 - Present

Responsible for grading, teaching, and providing feedback for 40-80 undergraduate students per semester. Classes mentored have included Introduction to Computer Programming, Software Engineering I & II, Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, and Introduction to Database Systems.

Technical Design Director, FUSION Church, March 2012 - July 2013

Responsible for helping to start and build the technical infrastructure of an additional campus to Lynn Haven United Methodist Church. Managed a $125,000 technical installation project for the audio and visual requirements of the campus. Recruited, trained, and managed a team of 15 volunteers. Participated in weekly discussions about the design of weekly services and space. Responsible for ensuring technical excellence in weekly services and reviewing for process and environment improvements.

Mobile Sales Consultant, Best Buy Mobile, August 2010 - May 2013

Responsible for managing customer relations and meeting monthly sales goals for wireless cellular service and devices. Helped train and lead a team of eight consultants in building customer relationships, executing sales plans, reconciling weekly activation reports, and providing service and support to previous customers. Was a consistent leader in the store and district in meeting sales goals.

Volunteer Work

Software Development Instructor, STEM Institute, FSU Panama City

Instructor for four years of classes in teaching rising eighth graders how to develop code in a week long course. Each summer STEM course involved about five hours of contact time with 100-125 students through small group instruction and presentations at the end of the week. Participated in this camp each year from 2013 to the present summer.
